Northeast Austin Hotels

The Courtyard is one of three Marriott hotels to be built near the Parmer Lane exit of I-35, 15 miles north of Austin city center - a five floor, 145 room property in a quiet, semi-rural location on the west side of the interstate. The hotel features a cafe (open for breakfast - buffet or cooked-to-order, dinner and evening drinks), a fitness center, pool/hot tub, convenience store, and the usual facilities for meetings & business. Guest rooms have all the latest Marriott fixtures and fittings, including HDTVs, microwaves, refrigerators and luxurious bedding.

Guests at the extended stay Residence Inn Austin North are treated to a range of complimentary amenities including hot breakfast, evening reception (Mon-Thu), internet access and a grocery shopping service. The four story hotel sits next to a Marriott sister property (SpringHill Suites) on grassy land adjoining I-35 by the Parmer Lane exit, and it offers 88 large, modern suites all equipped with a full kitchen, extra sofa bed and work desk. For leisure, guests have use of an outdoor pool, sports court, outdoor hot tub and a fitness center. There are several restaurants, and a HEB Supermarket, just the far side of the interstate.

New for 2016, Staybridge Suites Austin North adjoins a shopping complex that includes Walmart, Lowe's and a selection of restaurants - on the west side of I-35 at the Parmer Lane exit. This location is 11 miles north of downtown Austin and 21 miles from the international airport. Guests are half a mile from the edge of Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park, a sizeable area of woodland, crossed by streams and trails. The four floor, all-suite property offers accommodations in two bedroom, one bedroom and studio configurations, all featuring a fully equipped kitchen. Wi-fi and hot buffet breakfast are complimentary.

Although close to I-35 at the Parmer Lane exit, Homewood Suites by Hilton Austin TechRidge enjoys quiet surroundings, at the end of a short side road within sight of woodland and a small lake. There are many corporate headquarters nearby, together with a good selection of dining and shopping, including the Shops at Tech Ridge. Guest rooms and public areas have stylish, Texas-themed decor, and the all-suite hotel offers a wide range facilities for extended stay guests, such as free daily hot breakfast, complimentary evening social hours, a comfortable lounge, an outdoor pool and meeting facilities. All the suites (two bedroom or one bedroom) are equipped with a full kitchen.

East-facing rooms at Hilton Garden Inn Austin North look out over I-35 which runs right past (access is from the Yager Lane exit), while those on the west side have more relaxing views, of fields and a small lake. There are many restaurants close by, and a few large stores like JC Penney and HEB supermarket, though the hotel provides on-site dining at the Great American Grill, open for breakfast, dinner & all-day drinks. Also available are the usual facilities for leisure (pool, hot tub, fitness center) and business (meeting space, free wi-fi, business center). Downtown Austin is ten miles south along the interstate.

Country Inn North has 84 north or south facing suites in a relatively old but well maintained three floor building located at the southwest corner of I-35 exit 247 (Wells Branch Parkway), one of a small group of hotels facing the interstate. Nearby towns are Round Rock, McNeil and Pflugerville; the center of Austin is 15 miles south. The hotel offers all the usual amenities, including free breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center, newsstand and a microwave/refrigerator in each room. There are several restaurants nearby along the main road, though the neighborhood is mostly residential.

Marriott's mid-range all-suite/extended stay brand is represented on northeast Austin by the TownePlace Suites along Parker Drive (open late summer 2017), a four floor, 102-room property on the south side of Hwy 45 just west of the I-35 intersection, adjacent to a business park. Half a mile away, on the far side of the highway, are the many shops and restaurants of La Frontera Village. All accommodations feature a full kitchen, and are available in two bedroom, one bedroom and studio floorplans. Free hot breakfast is prepared each morning. The hotel has a meeting room, fitness center and outdoor pool.

On the south edge of the Tech Ridge district of north Austin, the TownePlace Suites is a well managed, all-suite hotel offering free hot breakfast, 24 hour fitness & business centers, free wi-fi and an outdoor pool with fire pit. The suites are available in two bedroom, one bedroom and studio layouts, and all contain a fully equipped kitchen. The hotel is mostly surrounded by wooded land, with a small lake to one side - situated along Tech Ridge Boulevard, a quarter of a mile from I-35 and 11 miles north of downtown Austin.

Open early 2025, the Element hotel in northeast Austin is a large, full service property, close to many businesses in the Tech Ridge district, such as IBM, General Motors and Dell. Prominently positioned at the Parmer Lane/Tech Ridge Blvd intersection, the hotel provides comfortable and well-equipped accommodations, including a selection of suites with full kitchens. Hot breakfast is complimentary; other highlights are a restaurant/bar and an oversized outdoor pool.

The SpringHill Suites is the larger but more reasonably priced of two adjacent all-suite Marriott hotels next to I-35 exit 245 (Parmer Lane), 11 miles north of downtown Austin. The surroundings are quiet and semi rural, with a small artificial lake at the front, and Walnut Creek Park half a mile south. Accommodation comprises 132 studio suites, all containing a refrigerator, wet bar & microwave; snacks for cooking can be purchased 24 hours a day from the on site market. The hotel also provides free hot breakfast, free internet access, a business center, indoor pool/hot tub and laundry. Guests can use the fitness center at the Residence Inn next door.

The Best Western Plus hotel offers both regular guest rooms, equipped with microwave/refrigerator, studio suites containing a kitchenette, and larger suites with a full kitchen. Free hot breakfast is provided each morning, while food for cooking can be purchased from the nearby HEB supermarket. The above average recreation amenities comprise a fitness center, bbq area, outdoor pool, hot tub and pergola. The hotel opened early 2019, located along the western I-35 frontage road near the Wells Branch Parkway intersection, 15 miles north of downtown Austin.

Fairfield Inn Austin North, most affordable of four Marriott properties beside I-35 exit 245 (Parmer Lane), has 150 modern, brightly-decorated rooms & suites that all contain a work desk, sofa bed, microwave, refrigerator and extra comfortable bedding. Free wireless internet access is available throughout the property, and free breakfast is served each morning, including a hot sandwich. Leisure amenities are the usual pool (indoor) and fitness center, while for meetings there are two small rooms on site, or larger facilities in the adjacent hotels.

New for spring 2021, Avid Hotel Austin is built in a quiet, wooded neighborhood on the east side of I-35, accessed from the Tech Ridge Boulevard exit, near the many shops, restaurants, corporate offices and other business at the Tech Ridge Center. Downtown Austin is ten miles south along the freeway. The affordable, modern hotel offers amenities of a 24 hour fitness center, free breakfast and a 24 hour convenience store.

Sleep Inn Austin is part of a mixed business/residential neighborhood on the west side of I-35 near the Howard Lane exit, 13 miles north of the city center, though the immediate surroundings are more rural, with a patch of woodland to the north. The hotel is quite new, open early 2012, and it offers 55 comfortable, oversized rooms nicely decorated in pastel shades, all equipped with microwave, refrigerator and pillow top mattresses. Free hot breakfast is provided and there are several restaurants half a mile south around the interstate exit. Leisure amenities are an indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness center and southwest-facing patio. Wi-fi is also complimentary.
