West Austin Hotels

The Residence Inn by Marriott is one of the few major hotels on the west side of Austin - hilly, wooded land bordering Austin Lake on the Colorado River. The all-suite/extended stay property is part of the River Place development, along Hwy 2222; 13 miles from the city center and 4.5 miles from Mansfield Dam. In the vicinity are a few shops, restaurants and other businesses, but most of the surroundings are quite thickly forested. The hotel contains spacious, nicely decorated suites in two bedroom, one bedroom and studio layouts, and all have a full kitchen. The usual range of Residence Inn features and facilities are provided, including free hot breakfast, free weekday evening receptions, a pool, barbecue area, business center and meeting space.

Open summer 2020, the SpringHill Suites is part of the Medical Village in Lakeway, 17 miles west of downtown Austin, in a generally wooded, hilly region a short drive from Lake Travis along the Colorado River. The four floor, 88 room property has a quiet setting along a side road near Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, off Hwy 620, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. All accommodations are studio suites, with microwave, refrigerator and sofa bed. Amenities include an outdoor pool, firepits, meeting space, lobby-level bar and fitness center.

The Holiday Inn Express is part of the Trails at 620 development right on the west edge of Austin, built just off FM 620, bordered on one side by a group of restaurants and to the other by woodland. Sites in the vicinity include a movie theater, a Walmart store, Home Depot, and Concordia University. Lake Travis is 3.5 miles west, the city center 15 miles southeast. The hotel has four floors and 82 rooms/suites, and features a covered pool and sundeck at the rear, looking out over the undeveloped countryside. Interior facilities are a fitness center, business center, meeting space and a dining room for the free breakfast buffet.
