The recently built Holiday Inn Express hotel in American Fork (open late 2010) is located at the south edge of town near I-15 exit 276, also close to Pleasant Grove, Linden and Orem, yet has quiet, semi-rural surroundings, at the edge of a small area of farmland between the otherwise continuous suburbia that borders the east side of Utah Lake; most of the 80 rooms & suites have views over Mount Timpanogos. Amenities are an indoor pool, fitness center, hot tub, business center and hot breakfast buffet. The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants.
