One of several hotels just south of the South Towne Center Mall, the full service Courtyard Salt Lake City Sandy is a modern, 4 floor building of 124 large, well looked after rooms, part of a busy area of shops and restaurants at the southeast corner of interstate 15 exit 293 (106th Street). For dining the on-site Bistro restaurant serves breakfast & dinner, or for more choice the nearest place is Iggys Sports Grill, on the far side of the road. The hotel occupies a relatively old building of four floors and 130 guest rooms, with a small garden & sundeck at the rear and ample parking space all around. Inside, facilities are a pool, hot tub, fitness center, business center and 1,200 sq ft of meeting space. Wi-fi and hot breakfast are provided free of charge.

The Holiday Inn Express hotel in Sandy is well located for travelers on nearby interstate 15 or those visiting the ski resorts in the Wasatch Mountains, which rise up a short distance east - the closest centers are Alta, Snowbird and Solitude. Much nearer - walking distance - is the South Towne Center Mall which contains numerous shops and restaurants. The hotel has 88 clean, newly renovated rooms (all with refrigerator, microwave, work desk & free internet access), and amenities of free hot breakfast buffet, an indoor pool, hot tub and guest laundry.

Best Western Plus CottonTree Inn is one of a group of hotels along Auto Mall Drive, just south of 106th Street in central Sandy, and also very close to the huge South Towne Center shopping mall. The popular, 110-room/suite inn is situated 12 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City, 18 miles from the international airport and 6 miles west of the edge of the Wasatch Mountains. Amenities include free continental breakfast (with home-made waffles), an indoor pool, exercise room, hot tub, guest laundry, business center and meeting space. Rates are reasonable and the interior is nicely decorated.
