The handsome, modern, 78 room/suite Holiday Inn Express is built along US 287 on open land at the west edge of the city beside Squaw Creek; many of the accommodations have fine views towards the Wind River Mountains which rise up a few miles further west. The main natural attraction in the vicinity (Sinks Canyon State Park) is just 6 miles away via Highway 131. The hotel provides comfortable and elegant accommodation, plus all necessary amenities: free hot breakfast buffet, pool/hot tub, bbq grills, laundry, fitness center & business center, and a refrigerator/microwave in each room.

Near the southeast edge of Lander, the pet friendly Travelodge has a quiet location along a side road just off US 287 - opposite a supermarket, one block from the Popo Agie River, and close to many restaurants along the main road. Rates are relatively low but accommodations are large and clean; there are 109 rooms in total, divided into several two story, pine-clad blocks with an outdoor pool at one side, and a fair amount of parking. Other amenities comprise an exercise room, hot tub, free internet access, copy/fax services and meeting space.

The Pronghorn Lodge in Lander offers 56 clean, functional rooms mostly on the ground floor, and all containing a refrigerator & microwave - part of a typical roadside, exterior corridor motel that also has an exercise room and guest-use computer, though no pool. Free continental breakfast is served, while for other meals there is one restaurant adjacent and others nearby along the main road (US 287), which leads to the town center a few blocks west. The inn is built right on the wooded banks of the Popo Agie River, a 6.5 mile drive from Sinks Canyon State Park.
