East Colorado Springs Hotels

The full service Holiday Inn Colorado Springs is situated in a lightly developed residential area on the east side of the city, 4 miles from the airport and adjacent to a sister hotel, the Holiday Inn Express. The property is quite new, and has 115 rooms & suites, all containing a microwave and refrigerator. Located off the lobby, the on-site bar/restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, and also provides room service. For leisure guests can take advantage of an indoor pool, fitness center and whirlpool; the other main amenities of the hotel are a convenience store, guest laundry, business center and five meeting rooms.

The third Residence Inn in Colorado Springs opened late summer 2020; part of the First and Main development along Powers Boulevard, though set back from the highway on a quiet street, close to a golf course. The airport is 8 miles south, and the city center 8 miles southwest. All accommodations feature a full kitchen, and are available in studio one bedroom and two bedroom floorplans. Daily free hot breakfast and weekday evening socials are complimentary. The fitness center and business center are both open 24 hours.

A free shuttle links guests at Homewood Suites by Hilton with Colorado Springs Airport (COS), 2.5 miles east; the long stay/extended stay property sits along a side road off Hwy 21, in lightly developed neighborhood, 7 miles from the city center. The Hampton Inn in northeast Colorado Springs (open summer 2022) sits behind a small shopping center at the Barnes Road-Powers Blvd intersection, overlooking a residential neighborhood to the west. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and some larger stores, including Target, Costo and JC Penney. The hotel has an outdoor pool and provides free hot breakfast each morning. Upper floor rooms enjoy long distance views over the plains to the east.

The three floor, 80 room property is part of a small group of hotels on the west side of the airport, on the edge of a residential district, 7 miles from downtown Colorado Springs. Rooms face north or south, so some have mountain views; all contain a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and executive desk. For leisure the hotel provides the expected pool (indoor), whirlpool and fitness center. Free hot breakfast is prepared each morning, available in a take out version for guests departing early.

The Home2 Suites is part of the main group of hotels serving Colorado Springs Airport - by the Hwy 21-US 25 intersection (southwest side), at the edge of a residential neighborhood. The terminal building is a 4 mile drive away, served by the hotel's free shuttle. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and many more along Academy Boulevard, 2 miles west. Amenities at the all-suite/extended stay property include an indoor pool, a fitness center and meeting space. Free hot breakfast is provided each morning.

The TownePlace Suites is a good choice for extended stay or all-suite accommodation near Colorado Springs Airport. The new, clean & comfortable hotel has 97 suites in three different sizes, all equipped with a full kitchen, extra sofa bed, and the luxurious Marriott bedding. Basic free breakfast is served each morning, drinks & snacks can be purchased from the on-site convenience store, and there are several restaurants nearby along the main road (US 24; Fountain Boulevard). An indoor pool, exercise room, guest laundry and a 15 person meeting room are the other main amenities.

Marriott's most affordable all-suite brand is represented by SpringHill Suites Colorado Springs South, at 1570 N Newport Road - a quiet location by the west edge of the municipal airport, 4.5 miles from the terminal buildings. The SpringHill Suites is new, well managed, nicely decorated, very clean, and regarded by some as the best hotel in Colorado Springs. The rooms are 25% larger than average and contain a kitchenette, while the hotel has amenities of free breakfast buffet, free high speed internet access, indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, guest laundry, gift shop and a 70 person meeting room. Nearby are various businesses, including LSI Corporation, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.

Colorado Spring's Holiday Inn Express airport hotel is surrounded by fields on the east side of the city, next to a residential district and a 4 mile drive from the terminal buildings, linked by free shuttle (5 am to 11 pm). This is an older property but well enough maintained, containing 94 rooms & suites (all with views of the Rocky Mountains) on 4 floors, plus a fitness center, guest laundry, business center and a 1,100 sq ft meeting room. Free continental breakfast is served; lunch and dinner can be purchased from several restaurants along the main road (US 24; E Fountain Boulevard).

Tru by Hilton is part of a 2024 development, also including the Homewood Suites; on the west side of Colorado Springs Airport, accessed from Hwy 21. National Museum of World War II Aviation is 2 miles north. Features at the modern, well-managed hotel are a free airport shuttle, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, and meeting space.

The 80 room/suite Fairfield Inn (open fall 2019) is situated near the east edge of Colorado Springs, in an area previously without any hotels - just off Powers Blvd, Hwy 21, behind an extensive commercial area of shops and restaurants. The airport is ten miles south by road. Facilities include free breakfast, business & fitness centers, a patio, indoor pool and fire pit. Guests are also within walking distance of the Security Service Field baseball stadium.

Comfort Suites Colorado Springs opened fall 2022, part of a commercial area along Powers Boulevard on the east side of the city, 11 miles from Colorado Springs Airport (free transportation provided) and within walking distance of at least a dozen restaurants. The surroundings district is residential; open countryside starts 2 miles east. Hot breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary. All accommodations are studio suites, featuring a microwave, refrigerator and living area with sofa bed. Other facilities are an indoor pool, guest laundry, a fitness center and event space.

Part of a cluster of hotels along Aeroport Drive, 4 miles by road from Colorado Springs Airport, the two floor Quality Inn has 88 microwave/refrigerator-equipped rooms, including several hot tub suites. The building is clean and modern; the main two amenities are above average free continental breakfast, and a free shuttle to the airport. For leisure the hotel offers the usual pool (indoor), hot tub and fitness room. The nearest I-25 exit is 135, via Academy Boulevard.

MainStay Suites (open late summer 2022) shares a site with another Choice Hotels property, the Comfort Suites; joint amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center and meeting space. All accommodations contain a sofa bed and a kitchenette, equipped with refrigerator, microwave, stove, cookware and utensils. Hot coffee and wi-fi are complimentary, and the hotel also has a coin-operated laundry facility. Cookable meals can be purchased from the on-site marketplace; the nearest supermarket (Safeway) is 2 miles northwest.

4.5 miles by road from Colorado Springs Airport, the Days Inn is a welcoming, affordable motel with a modern design; a two story, interior corridor building at the edge of a residential district, sharing a parking lot with a Wyndham sister property (Super 8). The city center is 6 miles west, mostly along US 24. The standard free continental breakfast is provided; for other meals there are a few restaurants within easy walking distance though most are at least a mile away, to the west. A business center, indoor pool/hot tub and free wi-fi are the other main amenities.

The Travelodge provides affordable accommodations in a pair of two storey, interior corridor buildings just off US 24 on the southeast side of Colorado Springs, one mile from the Hwy 21 intersection. There are two restaurants adjacent, and one gas station. The airport is 7 miles away by road. Amenities comprise free continental breakfast, free wi-fi, a fitness center, gift shop and meeting room

Econo Lodge Colorado Springs Airport benefits from a peaceful, semi rural location right on the east edge of the city, overlooking Sand Creek Golf Course and a 5 mile drive away from the local airport. The north entrance to Peterson Air Force Base is just half a mile south. The hotel is a friendly place with 37 comfortable rooms (all equipped with microwave/refrigerator), an indoor pool/hot tub, and it serves above average free continental breakfast. Rates are quite low.

Eight miles (by road) from Colorado Springs Airport near the entrance to Peterson Air Force Base, the Super 8 is a basic but comfortable motel with a rural setting, backing onto open countryside to the east. There are several restaurants and gas stations nearby but a much better selection can be found 3 miles west along the main road (US 24), around Citadel Mall. Continental breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary at the pet friendly motel, which also has a small business center. Rooms are available with microwave and refrigerator.

Five miles west of Colorado Springs Airport, the budget-priced, pet friendly Super 8 accommodates guests in a small, two floor building of 42 rooms, which include a few king bed suites with a hot tub bath. Free wi-fi, free continental breakfast, guest laundry and a business center are the main amenities. The motel backs on to a residential estate and is one block from several shops and one restaurant; there is also a Safeway supermarket within walking distance (0.5 miles).

The pet friendly, interior corridor Rodeway Inn hotel in Colorado Springs is located at the edge of a business district close to two restaurants and one mile from the Citadel Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the state.
