North Colorado Springs Hotels

Open fall 2022, the four floor/126 room Courtyard by Marriott is now the northernmost hotel in Colorado Springs, part of a developing area on the north side of InterQuest Parkway, I-25 exit 153, 3 miles from the entrance to the US Air Force Academy. In the vicinity are several restaurants and shops, a water park, cinema and games complex. The city center is 16 miles south. The Bistro, on the premises, is open for breakfast, dinner and evening drinks. The hotel also has a fitness center, meeting/event space, and a spacious lobby with media board.

The most northerly of several Residence Inn hotels in Colorado Springs is part of a new business park in a developing area right at the edge of town, close to Pikes Peak Community College, the US Air Force Academy and the Promenade Shops at Briargate, plus business such as Spectranetics & Lockheed Martin, though for now at least the hotel overlooks unused land beside I-25 (next to exit 153), with many rooms having uninterrupted views southwest towards Pikes Peak and adjacent mountains. The hotel provides typically clean, well managed, upscale accommodation aimed primarily at the extended stay market - the 113 studio, one bed or two bed suites all contain a full kitchen, plus separate living/working/dining areas. Free full breakfast each day, free light dinner (Mon-Wed), a pool, hot tub, sports court and putting green are the other main amenities.

The Staybridge Suites is a late 2021 addition to the extended stay accommodation choices in north Colorado Springs, located near the Powers Boulevard/Woodmen Road intersection, 12 miles from the city center, close to shopping (including Walmart), dining and several healthcare facilities, the closest being Children's Hospital of Colorado Springs, Memorial Hospital North and St Francis Medical Center. The hotel provides free hot breakfast each morning, and free evening receptions on selected days; it also offers an indoor saltwater pool, meeting/event space, a 24 hour fitness center, outdoor hot tub and bbq area. Suites are available in studio, one bedroom and two bedroom configurations.

The Staybridge Suites in Colorado Springs is located along a quiet side road (Commerce Center Drive), opposite another IHG property, the Holiday Inn Express - next to exit 149 of I-25 on the north side of town, and within walking distance of a selection of restaurants & shops. The modern, all-suite, extended stay hotel caters for guests in 79 rooms in studio, one bed or two bed configurations, all containing a full kitchen plus separate areas for working. living & sleeping. Many of the suites have fine mountain views. The good range of facilities includes free breakfast buffet, a sports court, bbq grills, outdoor pool, fitness center, 24 hour convenience store, 2 meeting rooms and (free) guest laundry. During the week, a complimentary evening reception is provided.

Like most hotels of this brand, Embassy Suites Colorado Springs is a large and well established property, kept up to date with regular renovations, and well connected to area attractions by I-25 which runs right past on the east side. The hotel has a north central location close to the US Air Force Academy, 7 miles from downtown Colorado Springs. The 206 suites feature granite counter tops, separate living/sleeping areas, a balcony and a kitchenette with refrigerator & microwave, while the many hotel facilities are headed by the on-site restaurant (Polo Club), open for lunch, dinner & room service. Freshly cooked breakfast and evening manager's reception are both complimentary, 7 days a week. The hotel's meeting space can accommodate events of up to 400 people.

Sites near Homewood Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs-North include the main gate of the US Air Force Academy (2.5 miles), Chapel Hills Mall (2 miles), Memorial Hospital (2 miles) and Pikes Peak College (2.5 miles) - the hotel is situated near the north edge of town in a lightly developed neighborhood along Briargate Parkway, near Pine Creek Golf Course. The hotel provides good quality, extended stay accommodation - all rooms have a full kitchen and separate living area, together with a wide range of amenities, principally free hot breakfast, free evening reception (Mon - Thu), an outdoor pool (at the center of a secluded courtyard garden), a fitness center & business center, a convenience store and several meeting rooms catering for events of up to 64 people.

The more northerly of the two Hilton Garden Inn hotels in Colorado Springs is located in the Briargate district just off I-25 at exit 151, opposite the Promenade Shops and 2.5 miles from the Air Force Academy. The surroundings are semi-rural; a stream runs past the hotel to the north, flowing through the adjacent Pine Creek Golf Club, and many of the rooms enjoy mountain views. The hotel has its own restaurant (Great American Grill), open for dinner, lunch & breakfast, plus a 24 hour convenience store selling drinks, snacks and packed meals, cookable using the in-room microwaves. Evening drinks are served in a relaxed setting in the Pavilion Lounge. Also available are the expected facilities for leisure, business and meetings.

Open summer 2021, the fourth Hampton Inn hotel in Colorado Springs is part of the extensive commercial district around the intersection of I-25 and Academy Boulevard, ten miles north of the city center and less than one mile from the main entrance to the Air Force Academy. The location is relatively quiet, along a side road, and west-facing rooms enjoy mountain views. The hotel features an indoor pool, business & fitness centers, meeting space and free hot breakfast. There are numerous restaurants and shops within easy walking distance.

The Hampton Inn I-25 North is part of the Interquest Park business district, a developing facility right on the north edge of Colorado Springs, 12 miles from the city center. The south entrance to the US Air Force Academy is 3.5 miles away. The immediate surroundings lack any services but there are a selection of restaurants a couple of miles south along Briargate Parkway, and free hot breakfast is provided by the hotel. All rooms contain a microwave & refrigerator, and most enjoy uninterrupted views across the flat surroundings towards the Rocky Mountains; accommodations include a selection of studio suites, some with a private balcony. The hotel also offers meeting space, a business center and the usual leisure amenities.

Open fall 2019, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott is the newest of a group of hotels near the Interquest Parkway/Voyager Parkway intersection, in a developing area of business and corporate offices, 4 miles from the entrance to the US Air Force Academy. The location is relatively quiet and peaceful, away from the main roads, within sight of the mountains to the west. Hotel features include a 24 hour convenience store, a spacious lobby, a fitness center and pool. Hot breakfast is complimentary. All accommodations are studio suites, equipped with microwave and refrigerator.

The 87 room/suite Holiday Inn Express has a quiet location half a mile east of I-25 at the Interquest Parkway exit, part of the Gateway Development, near a selection of restaurants and shops. The north and south entrances to the Air Force Academy are 2 miles away, while the city center is 13 miles south. Accommodations have fine views across the flat surroundings to the nearby mountains, and feature such amenities as a microwave, refrigerator and pillow top mattresses. The business center and fitness center are open 24 hours a day. Outdoor amenities are a pool, hot tub and gas fire pit. Free hot breakfast buffet is provided.

On the north side of Colorado Springs, the Holiday Inn Express has a relaxing location next to the wooded valley of Monument Creek, in view of the Rampart Range at the edge of the Rockies, yet also right next to I-25 (exit 149) for easy access to all important sites in town. Colorado Springs Air Force Academy lies one mile north. The hotel is a fairly new building of 78 rooms & suites, an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, business center, guest laundry and newsstand. Complimentary expanded continental breakfast is served.

Best Western Peak Vista Inn provides affordable, modern accommodations including a selection of studio suites which have a sofa bed, wet bar, microwave and refrigerator. The hotel occupies a compact, four floor building near I-25 exit 149 (Woodmen Road), within ten miles of United States Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods and downtown Colorado Springs. Hot breakfast, wi-fi, local/long distance calls and a daily newspaper are the complimentary amenities, while an indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center are available for recreation. Half a dozen restaurants are within a few minute's walk.

On the edge of the countryside at the north side of Colorado Springs, the Fairfield Inn is a clean and reasonably priced place to stay, offering 67 rooms with refrigerator & extra sofa bed, a heated indoor pool & hot tub, and free enhanced continental breakfast. The inn is part of a group of hotels along Commerce Center Drive, just off I-25 about 7 miles from the city center. Several restaurants are within walking distance and there are many shops along Academy Boulevard 1 to 2 miles east, including Woodmen Valley Shopping Center and Chapel Hills Mall.

Spark by Hilton has an easily reached location at the Woodmen Road exit of I-25, part of a group of hotels serving cross-state travelers, the nearby business districts, and visitors to the US Air Force Academy, the south entrance to which is less than 2 miles away. In the other direction, the interstate reaches downtown Colorado Springs after 8 miles. The hotel occupies an older but well maintained, four story building of 125 guest rooms, and it offers all the expected amenities: free breakfast, free wi-fi, indoor pool/whirlpool, fitness center, business center and a 30 person meeting room.

Many of the 65 oversized rooms at Baymont Inn Colorado Springs have long distance views westwards towards Pikes Peak and nearby mountains; all contain a microwave, refrigerator, and separate areas for sleeping/living. Free full breakfast is served, and guests have an easy walk to many nearby restaurants along the main road (Academy Boulevard), next to I-25 exit 150. The hotel also has a fitness center, convenience store, indoor pool with water slide, guest laundry and 1,400 sq ft of meeting space.

Econo Lodge Colorado Springs provides basic, affordable lodging beside the main entrance to the US Air Force Academy; the three floor property offers 84 bright, clean rooms, an outdoor hot tub, a fitness center and the standard free continental breakfast. There is a wide selection of restaurants nearby, plus various shops including Wal-Mart. Access is from the Academy Boulevard exit of Interstate 25.

I-25 runs close by Super 8 Colorado Springs/AFA Area, enabling quick travel to places north and south, including the city center, 9 miles away. Access is from the Academy Boulevard exit; on the far side of the interstate, the road continues directly into the Air Force Academy. There are several restaurants and a Wal-Mart store within easy walking distance. The low priced motel has 95 rooms, three interior corridor floors, and amenities of free continental breakfast and free wi-fi.
