Stud Horse Point is a narrow promontory branching off a wide mesa overlooking the west side of Lake Powell, spanning the Utah-Arizona border a few miles north of Page. The rocks along one part of the rim of the mesa have eroded to form a fine set of hoodoos, some very large, and made even more photogenic by the grand views eastwards towards the lake. Also in this area are several short slot canyons, and large expanses of colorful slickrock. The main hoodoos are reached by a walk of 1.5 miles, but other, more distant parts of the mesa also invite exploration.
Location: Along an unpaved track, 2.5 miles west of US 89 and 11 miles from Page -
