West El Paso Hotels

The Holiday Inn is one of several hotels along Sunland Park Drive, just south of exit 13 of I-10, close to the Sunland Park Mall and other local attractions such as Western Playland Amusement Park and the El Paso Country Club. The hotel has an unusual layout with its 176 rooms divided into nine separate units, linked by paths and beautifully maintained gardens. Most rooms enjoy fine views of the Franklin Mountains just to the east, and some overlook the hotel's outdoor pool & whirlpool. For dining, the Daniel's New American Grille restaurant/bar is open 7 days a week, and there are a selection of other restaurants within half a mile. Holiday Inn El Paso provides a complimentary shuttle over a 5 mile radius, and also to the international airport (14 miles east).

The 93 room Hampton Inn is the first hotel to greet travelers arriving in El Paso from the west, located beside exit 8 of I-10 (Artcraft Road), near a few restaurants but otherwise in a rather empty neighborhood of scattered residential estates and industrial buildings separated by patches of undeveloped desert. The hotel serves good quality free hot breakfast each morning, available in a takeout version for people leaving early. Also complimentary is the local area shuttle, serving places within ten miles, so including Franklin Mountains State Park to the east. The hotel has all the usual facilities for leisure, business and meetings.

Right next to a Marriott sister property (Fairfield Inn), the SpringHill Suites is a west El Paso hotel, adjacent to the Promenade mall (exit 11 of interstate 10), and so within walking distance of a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment. The hotel caters for guests who need more space and facilities - the 103 one or two bed studio suites all have a pantry (sink, microwave, refrigerator), sofa sleeper, executive desk and free internet access; many have long distance views towards the Franklin Mountains a few miles east. Free breakfast buffet, a pool, whirlpool, fitness center and two meeting rooms are the other main amenities.

Open late 2019, the four story Holiday Inn Express is part of a group of restaurants and other businesses beside Interstate 10 at the Sunland Park Drive exit, one mile from the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino (in New Mexico), and 1.5 miles from the international border. There are also two family amusement parks in the vicinity, and a large movie theater. The hotel provides free hot breakfast buffet each morning, and has other amenities of an outdoor pool/hot tub, fitness & business centers and function space.

Holiday Inn Express El Paso is also the westernmost hotel in Texas, along I-10; the four floor building sits beside exit 8 of the interstate (Artcraft Road), and many of its 96 stylish, comfortable rooms & suites have uninterrupted views of the Franklin Mountains which rise up a short distance east. All accommodation includes a refrigerator, microwave, free internet access, work desk and luxurious bedding, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel has an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center and meeting space. Free breakfast is served and there are a few restaurants nearby, though most of the neighborhood is relatively undeveloped.

Best Western Sunland Park Inn lies on the west side of El Paso, separated from the downtown area by the Franklin Mountains. The hotel is one of many along Sunland Park Drive, just southwest of I-10 exit 13, and half a mile from Sunland Park Mall which has well over 100 stores including Dillard's, Macys and Sears. Another local attraction, half a mile further south, is the Sunland Park Race Track and Casino. The Best Western has 50 rooms (all with microwave/refrigerator) and an outdoor pool, and it provides free breakfast.

The Fairfield Inn is one of a pair of newly built Marriott hotels next to the Promenade mall, on the west side of El Paso by I-10 exit 11 (Mesa Street), and it provides affordable, comfortable accommodation in 95 rooms & suites, all featuring free internet access, a work desk, microwave and refrigerator. There are many restaurants close by though free hot breakfast is served each morning at the hotel; also available are an indoor pool/hot tub, fitness center, laundry and a business center.

Right on the west edge of El Paso, the Comfort Suites provides modern and well equipped accommodations to travelers on nearby interstate 10 which runs past just to the west, and reaches the city center after ten miles. Guests at the hotel are treated to free full breakfast each morning; for lunch & dinner there are a dozen restaurants within a few minutes walk, either side of I-10 exit 11. The four story building has 74 refrigerator/microwave-equipped rooms, an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, laundry, and a 50 person meeting room.

Quality Suites El Paso is one of several hotels along Sunland Park Drive south of I-10 exit 13, and situated between two of the main attractions in this part of town: Sunland Park Mall and the Sunland Park Race Track/Casino. Free full breakfast is served at the hotel, while the neighborhood has a good selection of restaurants including PF Chang's. Leisure facilities at the Quality Suites comprise an indoor heated pool, exercise room and hot tub. This is a well regarded establishment, with 61 extra large rooms, all very clean and well managed by friendly staff.

Reliable, affordable lodging is the hallmark of the Quality Inn chain, and their El Paso property has a prominent location along the west I-10 frontage road, bordering a residential estate to the rear and empty desert to the south. The inn is enclosed by a spacious parking lot and has an outdoor pool to one side, shielded from the freeway and receiving sun into the early evening. Free continental breakfast, free wi-fi and a fitness center are the other main amenities. Guest rooms contain a microwave and a refrigerator. The nearest restaurants are half a mile north, at exit 8 of the interstate (Artcraft Road).

Good quality but economically priced accommodation for visitors to west El Paso is available at the Sleep Inn on Sunland Park Drive, right next to exit 13 of I-10. The two main amenities are a pool (indoor) and free breakfast, with a few hot items, plus a hot tub, basic business services, and free access to a nearby health club. Some of the 63 rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator. On the far side of the interstate is a group of restaurants and shops, including Sunland Park Mall. The property will rebrand as Spark by Hilton El Paso University, late spring 2025.

On the western approach to El Paso, the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites provides comfortable, clean, budget-priced accommodation right next to I-10 - one block east at exit 11 (Mesa Street). The inn has an outdoor pool/whirlpool, a microwave/refrigerator/coffee maker in each room, and a dining area for the standard free continental breakfast. There are three restaurants adjacent, a Wal-Mart across the street and the 10 screen Cinemark West movie theater just down the road.
