The three story Staybridge Suites hotel in West Valley City is aimed at the long stay traveler, providing 97 oversized rooms that all include a full kitchen (refrigerator/ice-maker, dishwasher, stove, microwave) and separate areas for living & sleeping. They are available in studio, one bed or two bed configurations, and are part of an elegant, well equipped building that also contains a fitness center, guest laundry, business center and a dining area for the free buffet breakfast and free evening reception (Tue to Thu). Leisure activities center on an indoor water park, shared with the Holiday Inn Express next door.

The full service, all suite Embassy Suites West Valley City has a good location along 3500S, close to I-215 but far enough to escape the traffic noise, and just a short walk from Valley Fair Mall and its associated restaurants. The decor is very modern and stylish, with bold colors and contemporary designs, seen first in the spacious lobby, which has plenty of comfortable areas for working or relaxing. All accommodations are two-room suites, featuring a wet bar, microwave, refrigerator & sofa bed. Both cooked-to-order breakfast and evening receptions are complimentary, while other meals, and in-room-dining, are available from the on-site restaurant, Shula's 347 Grill. The meeting space can accommodate events of up to 325 people. The hotel is right next to a station on the Trax light rail system (route 704).

Country Inn West Valley City has an easily-reached location adjacent to I-215 exit 18A (Hwy 171; 3500S), within walking distance of many restaurants & shops (including Redwood Shopping Center), the Maverik Center and Cinemark Valley Fair movie theater. The inn provides comfortable, affordable, mid range accommodation with such amenities as free breakfast buffet, free shuttle to Salt Lake City International Airport (8 miles north), an indoor pool/hot tub and meeting space for 55 people. Besides the regular rooms there are 3 types of suite available: king, family and whirlpool bath.

The Hampton Inn is part of a business/commercial corridor along Hwy 172 (5600 W) that includes a selection of restaurants and large stores, 7 miles south of Salt Lake City International Airport. Guest rooms are equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, work desk and 55 inch TV, while the studio suites additionally offer a sofa bed and extra living space. Hot breakfast is complimentary, and a 24 hour sundry shop sells drinks, snacks and other items. The hotel has an indoor pool, a fitness center and one meeting room.

The TownePlace Suites is the first Marriott hotel in West Valley City, located in a mixed residential/commercial neighborhood along Lake Park Boulevard on the north side of town, one mile south of the 201 Freeway. Within a short walk are various stores including a supermarket, a selection of restaurants and a cinema. Suites are available in studio, one bedroom and two bedroom layouts, all of which include a fully equipped kitchen. Wi-fi and hot buffet breakfast are complimentary. Drinks, snacks and cookable meals may be purchased from the on-site, 24 hour convenience store. Other amenities include a fitness center, indoor pool and two meeting rooms.

The 133 room SpringHill Suites by Marriott has a relatively secluded location along a residential street on the south side of Valley Fair Mall, near the I-225/Hwy 171 intersection, less than one mile from the Maverik Center. Free breakfast is provided each morning, and there are several restaurants within walking distance. All accommodations are studio suites, equipped with microwave, refrigerator and sofa bed. The hotel also has a fitness center, a swimming pool and a small meeting room.

One of two InterContinental Hotels Group properties in West Valley City, the Holiday Inn Express caters for guests in 94 rooms & suites, all very clean, large and modern, and some equipped with microwave/refrigerator. The main attraction of the hotel, shared with the Staybridge Suites next door, is an indoor water park featuring a huge water slide, three pools, a hot tub and a water-based gymnasium. Free hot breakfast buffet is prepared each morning, and there are many restaurants a short walk south along Decker Lane Drive; also nearby, just the far side of I-215, is the 120 store Valley Fair Mall. For those here to work, the hotel has a business center and one meeting room.

The main facilities at the affordable, pet friendly Best Western West Valley Inn are free hot breakfast, an indoor pool/whirlpool and a fitness center. The three floor, interior corridor hotel has an easy-to-reach location along a residential street beside the intersection of Hwy 171 with I-215, on the opposite side to Valley Fair Mall. The Maverick Center is also close by, together with a good selection of restaurants.

Open late 2024, the Fairfield Inn offers the usual facilities of fitness & business centers, a pool (indoor), a convenience store and free hot breakfast, this with an above average range of choices. The hotel is part of a commercial area on the west side of West Valley City, along 5600 W, close to many restaurants and shops, plus a sports park and a small lake. Salt Lake City International Airport is 6 miles away by road.

The Comfort Inn is part of a small group of hotels at the 3500S exit of I-215, adjacent to the Maverik Center and a 15 screen movie theater, and half a mile from Valley Fair Mall. A free shuttle is operated to Salt Lake City airport, 8 miles north. Leisure facilities are a fitness center, hot tub and pool, these latter two in a sunny, glass-roofed enclosure on the south side of the property. Business facilities are free wi-fi, a business center and 385 square foot meeting room. Free hot breakfast is served each morning. All accommodations contain a microwave and refrigerator, while a selection of suites have a sofa bed.
