The new Best Western Fossil Country Inn opened spring 2009 close to the US 30-US 189 junction on the south side of Kemmerer/Diamondville, built on open prairie with views towards distant mesas in all directions. Fossil Butte National Monument is just 12 miles west. The Best Western is the main chain hotel in the area and provides comfortable, modern lodging in 80 rooms (all equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave) plus a good range of amenities headed by the free hot breakfast served each morning.
