West San Antonio Hotels

Hilton San Antonio benefits from peaceful, wooded surroundings near the west edge of the city, 0.7 miles from the entrance to SeaWorld, and within easy reach of other area locations via Hwy 151 which runs past close by. Besides the nearby Westover Hills development, the Courtyard hotel in west San Antonio is also close to SeaWorld, the Hyatt resort championship golf course, and two shopping centers (Bandera Pointe, Ingram Park Mall). The wooded surroundings include several restaurants, other hotels, the Hill Country golf resort, and Seaworld, the entrance to which is just one mile west. Amenities at the TownePlace Suites are free breakfast, a 24 hour convenience store, swimming pool, exercise facility and one meeting room.

SpringHill Suites San Antonio is located next to I-410 just north of Hwy 151 - near the southwest edge of the city and a short walk from the Westover MarketPlace mall. Apart from the many shops and restaurants at the mall most of the surroundings are rural, but with several important sites nearby including SeaWorld (4.2 miles) and Lackland Air Force Base (3.8 miles). Accommodations face north or south, looking out over quiet, wooded surroundings on the west side of Loop 1604, in a generally residential area right on the west edge of the city. Best Western Atrea Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area close to the I-410/US 90 intersection near the southwest edge of San Antonio and right next to Lackland AFB. SeaWorld San Antonio is 7 miles north. The hotel offers above average service and amenities, and has a particularly elegant exterior; once inside guests have use of an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, cocktail lounge, convenience store, business center and meeting space. The 77 rooms (on 4 floors) have a cool, modern design, complete with features such as free internet access, a microwave and refrigerator.

One of over ten Best Western hotels in San Antonio, the Ingram Park Inn is situated along loop 410 on the northwest side of the city, 0.5 miles south of Ingram Park Mall and 5 miles from SeaWorld. The 78 rooms are built as an open block enclosing a central courtyard with outdoor pool, hot tub & gardens, and have views either over other businesses alongside the highway or of undeveloped, wooded land to the west. Just 1.3 miles from the entrance to SeaWorld (linked by free shuttle), the Fairfield Inn Westover Hills is also well connected to other west San Antonio attractions by Highway 151 which runs past close by, though the immediate neighborhood is mostly undeveloped woodland. The Comfort Inn near SeaWorld is a relatively new hotel, built at the intersection of Ingram Road with Highway 151, in a undeveloped part of the western San Antonio suburbs, ten miles from the downtown area. The main entrance to SeaWorld of Texas is just 3 miles further up the highway. The hotel is an attractive four story building of 77 well presented rooms that all contain a microwave & refrigerator, and comfortable beds with pillow top mattresses. The usual three leisure facilities of pool (indoor), hot tub and fitness center are provided, and the inn also has a small shop, laundry and a business center. Free continental breakfast is served.

The Comfort Suites is one of a group of hotels along the 410 loop road towards the northwest edge of San Antonio, though set back one block from the highway which makes for a more peaceful stay. The three floor property is positioned near exit 10 of the loop road, and 5 miles from Seaworld - an easy, ten minute drive west. The hotel has 74 suites on 4 floors, and amenities such as a convenience store, fitness center, indoor pool/hot tub and free deluxe continental breakfast (including a few hot items). There are four restaurants nearby.

This Quality Inn hotel is 3 miles east of San Antonio's SeaWorld, in a countryside setting just northwest of the important 410 - 151 junction on the west side of the city. Although mostly rural, the immediate neighborhood has several important centers including the Westover Marketplace a short walk south, and there are at least five restaurants around the highway junction. The hotel has an outdoor pool on the south side, and a microwave, refrigerator & coffee maker in every room. Free hot breakfast is provided.

Days Inn San Antonio Northwest occupies a modern, two floor building on the eastern I-410 frontage road, part of a row of business premises on the opposite side to Ingram Park Mall and its associated restaurants. Other area attractions include SeaWorld (7 miles), UTSA (11 miles), Lackland AFB (8 miles) and the Medical Center (3 miles). The hotel has an outdoor pool, on the sunny south side, away from the main road. The usual two complimentary amenities of wi-fi and breakfast (continental) are provided. Working guests have use of a business center and a meeting room.

The exterior corridor guest rooms at Travelodge San Antonio are divided between several palm tree-lined blocks, surrounded by the spacious parking lot, which is centered on an outdoor pool. All accommodations contain a microwave and refrigerator, while the motel also offers free coffee and a coin-operated laundry facility. The motel faces US 90 near the Military Drive intersection, a short distance from Lackland Air Force Base. There are several restaurants in the vicinity.

The Econo Lodge is a small motel of 32 rooms, on two exterior corridor floors, with views eastwards over the parking lot and an adjacent business towards the main road (Military Drive), and beyond to woodland at the edge of Lackland AFB. The motel sits on the south side of the base, within 3 miles of three freeways: I-410, I-35 and US 90. Amenities are an outdoor pool, hot tub, barbecue grill, in room refrigerators & microwaves, and free continental breakfast. There are several restaurants within half a mile.

The Econo Lodge provides budget-priced, exterior corridor accommodations with limited facilities of an outdoor pool, free wi-fi and free continental breakfast. All rooms are equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator, while a few have a full kitchenette. Although located along busy I-410, the motel is angled away from the freeway, the main building situated behind the office block, so rooms are generally quiet, with views of a small patch of undeveloped land to the north. Seaworld is 5.5 miles northwest, and the city center 12 miles east.

The Super 8 has a Spanish-style design, with brick roofs and orange walls, lined by palm trees and other desert vegetation. Guest rooms are in three interior corridor blocks, separated by a courtyard, which contains a secluded outdoor pool. The parking lot is shared with a Denny's restaurant, and there are several other dining outlets nearby. Other facilities are free breakfast and free wi-fi. The hotel faces I-410 (east side), half way between highways 16 and 151.

Rodeway Inn Lackland AFB is one of the better of the many budget motels along US 90 on the west side of San Antonio, offering 40 ground floor rooms (some containing a microwave/refrigerator), free continental breakfast, and an outdoor pool. The surroundings are hilly and partly wooded, with a golf course and several city parks nearby, plus the Lackland Air Force Base just the other side of the highway. SeaWorld San Antonio is 8 miles northwest.
