Alamere Falls is one of the top hiking destinations in
Point Reyes National Seashore, reached by a relatively easy 4.1 mile hike along the Coast Trail, starting from the Palomarin Trailhead near Bolinas. Alamere Creek tumbles 50 feet over the edge of the sandstone bluffs to create a rare coastal waterfall, though the water does not flow directly into the sea, even at high tide. The falls are situated near the south end of 2.5 mile-long
Wildcat Beach, which is bordered by some of the highest cliffs on the Point Reyes peninsula, rising up to 800 feet.
