Sevenmile Creek is a remote drainage on the north side of Lake Powell containing some slot canyon passageways. A smaller canyon to the east has some shallower narrows, more easily explored, and allows good views over a narrow section of the lake - the cliffs bordering the original river canyon are here very near the rim of the enclosing plateau, unlike many other places along the shoreline where intermediate ridges and slopes prevent close access. Getting to this point is still not so easy though, requiring a cross country hike of 5 miles or more, starting from tracks on the east side of Hwy 276.
