Soap Creek, Marble Canyon
PreviousThe Colorado River, north of the junction with Soap CreekNext

Soap Creek is the next west-side Grand Canyon tributary south of Badger Canyon, and the last drainage to offer a relatively easy route to the river, as south of here the side ravines are either much longer, much further from a road, or contain impassable falls. The drainage itself is not so interesting, being only moderately enclosed, but is quite popular, and has a BLM trailhead, by an old corral (also a good primitive camping site) just off US 89A. The hike to the Colorado is 4.1 miles, descending 1,250 feet.
