Cathedral Wash, Marble Canyon
PreviousEnd of Cathedral Wash; view upstream along the Colorado RiverNext

Cathedral Wash is the uppermost tributary of the Grand Canyon, forming a short but pretty narrows section before joining the Colorado 2 river miles south of Lees Ferry, where the cliffs are already 300 feet high. The rocks in the narrows are rather dull in color, though enlivened by unusual surface textures. The hike down the drainage is 1.5 miles in length, largely free of obstructions.
