A peaceful campground, a historic ranch and a desert plant garden are the three main attractions of
Oliver Lee Memorial State Park, a small preserve in southern New Mexico, beside the eastern foothills of the Sacramento Mountains. The park also contains the trailhead for the 5.5 mile Dog Canyon Trail, which climbs high into the mountains, part of the adjacent Lincoln National Forest, and has great views across Tularosa Valley towards White Sands National Monument.
