Antelope Island State Park is one of the best places to view the vast scenery of the Great Salt Lake in northwest Utah; a treeless island with several peaks rising up to 2,000 feet above the shallow waters of the lake, and connected to the mainland by a causeway. The island is home to a surprisingly wide range of wildlife including a free-ranging herd of bison, descendants of a population established in 1893.
