Catalina State Park provides an introduction to the plants and scenery of the Sonoran Desert; located in the western foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson, the park offers various facilities including a campground, snack shop, equestrian center, picnic area and several short trails, linking with longer routes into the adjacent Coronado National Forest.
