Despite its rather remote location, at the edge of the San Rafael Desert in south Utah,
Goblin Valley State Park is a relatively popular and well known place, famous for the thousands of strangely-shaped red rock formations found over an area of several square miles. The park is easy to explore, by walking along one of three maintained paths, or hiking off-trail over the mostly flat ground between the formations. Facilities include a campground and a network of bike trails.
